Viper Peak
Viper Peak is a fantastic hiking spot just a short drive from Davao City, located in Toril. The trail is around two hours long, starting from Lantaw Banud and leading you to the mountain’s summit. You’ll experience a fun mix of terrain—rocky paths, gravel, muddy stretches, and even some cemented areas.
It’s a favorite among trail runners and motorbike riders who come here to get a good workout. Although it’s a relatively short hike, there’s plenty to see. You’ll wander through wide-open grasslands, cross a lively river, trek through thick bushes, and climb a steep slope to reach the peak.
If you’re up for more, Layag Peak is just around the corner for an extra adventure. And if you want to cool off, there are about four beautiful waterfalls to explore, especially on a sunny day. Viper Peak is definitely a spot you don’t want to miss if you’re looking for an exciting and memorable outdoor experience!

Description
Viper Peak gets its name from the viper snakes that inhabit the area. These green, venomous snakes can sometimes be spotted coiled up on the branches of a mango tree at the peak—if you’re lucky! As you explore, the adventure can extend to various locations like Barangay Eden, Barangay Bato, and other nearby villages, especially as you navigate the river and local residences on the circuit trail to Tinolang.
If you decide to head to Layag Peak, you’ll pass through charming mango farms and areas showcasing local products. This peak isn’t as heavily visited as Viper Peak, making it a perfect spot if you’re seeking some solitude. You might need a guide or a local to help navigate the multiple pathways. At Layag Peak, you’ll find a large mango tree surrounded by chairs and tables where you can unwind. It’s a peaceful place with no stores or crowds, offering beautiful views and a refreshing breeze that makes it a wonderful retreat.
