Are you looking for a quiet place to relax that’s close to the city but feels a world away? At Manakaay ug Bukid, we are always on the hunt for hidden gems that offer that signature mountain breeze without the heavy price tag.

Enter Esoj Sky Garden Cafe and Restaurant. Located right at the back of the Catigan Barangay Hall in Toril, Davao City, this farm resort is the perfect spot to unwind, whether you’re a solo traveler, a hiker on a recovery day, or a family looking for a weekend sanctuary.

The Vibe: Farm Life Meets Mountain Chill
One of the first things you’ll notice at Esoj Sky Garden is the peace and quiet. The air is crisp, and it gets pleasantly cold at night and in the early morning.

The resort has a true farm-stay feel. You’ll be greeted by their friendly resident pets:
• Zeus (the Belgian Malinois)
• Buchi (the furry “Garfield” cat)
• Covid (the endearing black dog)
• Martin (the small and shy dog)
• Free-range chickens roaming the lush grounds and eggplant farms.

Manakaay Pro-Tips: Know Before You Go
• Parking & Car Camping: There is a wide parking area available that is perfect for overlanders and those who love the “rig life.” Car camping is now offered, allowing you to set up right by your vehicle. If you prefer the huts, the walk from the parking area to the rooms is very short and manageable.
• Mosquitoes: Since it’s a natural farm setting, mosquitoes can come out at dusk. Don’t worry if you forgot your repellent; you can buy mosquito coils at their store.
• Location: Simply pin “Catigan Barangay Hall” on Google Maps. Esoj Sky Garden is located directly behind it.
